Yessir, I’m on vacation just like Murph. Not with each other of course. If you vacation with your unpaid co-worker the FBI, NSA, Secrete Service, CIA, and the KGB for good measure should put you on a watchlist.
Some might say, “You two call yourselves Red Sox beat reporters for the number one MBTA related blog?”. Well Mr. My Meniscus Functions At A Slightly Below Average Level(Jack Molito), you would be right. Murph and myself are so diehard that we are both emotionally and physically strained from covering this team.
From the Blue Hills level peaks, to the lowest of the Big lows. John and I have been writing about this deadbeat pitching staff and overachieving bats. That’s why we needed this vacation. The Sox came off a winning series to the hottest team in the AL Central, where Sale saw himself yet again touching the 200k mark on a 6th straight season, where Devers had 8 straight at bats with a hit while collecting 4 doubles in a row in the midst of that streak, and where they pushed a first place Indians team into a neck and neck playoff race within their own division. And now they play the Orioles. The 39-83 Baltimore Orange Birds. Perfect time for a break.
And what do the two of us continue to do while away from the ole blogging machines? We tip-tap type away on our phones. Dedication to the game. Jay-Z in his prime would respect the hustle. 50 Cent would see the grind.
I carved out time during my night to let the viewers at home know that I appreciate the effort both by myself and Murph. That’s truly big of me as President of this great printing establishment. John Henry isn’t writing pieces for the Globe even when he’s working. Meanwhile I’m enjoying this meaningless Pats Preseason game that has Titans fans foaming at the mouth because they’re beating a team that Bill merely throws out there so that the real players don’t hurt themselves(Edelman).
Regardless the Sox are hot but they’re cuncelled still. Especially with a not 100% Eovaldi now back to starter, Sale on the 10-Day, and Cash-Daddy sitting as our best closer all season.
P.s. Happy Birthday Pedroia! I miss you bb
