This sucks. No not the loss, though it does. What sucks are all these “fans” saying it’s the end of the dynasty. End of Bill. End of Tom. Well, if you’re jumping ship on them good riddance. Didn’t want you to just cheer in the playoffs anyway.
The Patriots just lost in the first round of the playoffs for the first time since 2010. They played in their first wild card game since 2009. The last time they didn’t make the playoffs? 2008.
The Patriots just had the most dominant run in a ten-year span than any sports team that has ever existed. You would have better luck betting on the Patriots to win(76.9%), than flipping a coin and wanting it to land on heads. And on top of all that, we have a 42-year-old quarterback spearheading an offense with zero weapons.
Tom Brady should and will be back next year. It will be a minimal role where he’s either splitting time or straight up grooming his predecessor. For those saying we can’t afford him, take a look at the track record. He’s never been one to want lavish contracts with enough wealth for Vivi’s grandchildren. His wife is already getting that bread. He does get paid in the top 5 for quarterbacks and hits the top three…WHEN HE HITS ALL OF HIS INCENTIVES!!!
Does he deserve to get paid? Hell ya, you’re brain dead if you don’t think so. Brady looked good tonight despite receivers dropping everything like they’re Snoop who has a pimp with an attitude. Tom ranked 7th in the league for passing yards and 13th for yards per game. He went 24/8 touchdowns to interceptions this past year, which is a better ratio than 2016 MVP Matt Ryan. You might say, “Cooper that’s Matt Ryan. He’s not someone to aim to be.” Well, I’m saying this is Brady at his worse with zero receiving core for a duration of a season.
Tom Brady as a middle-aged Dad is a better QB than guys who are supposed to be in their prime. So, yes. Brady deserves that Brinks trunk. He won’t ask for it though. And if he did, Bill would counter with the idea of mentoring and building a future foundation to further prove his GOATness. Because that’s what motivates Brady. LEGACY.
