Complete Anarchy

Want to know what happens when there is a power vacuum? Chaos. Anarchy. Backstabbing. Folks, baseball is all the above right now.

By now we all know the backstory. Astros investigation implicated Hinch and Cora. Both parted ways with their current teams. As it should be. In my eyes you get caught doing something you knew was illicit you deserve the punishment. It sucks but that’s the truth, I don’t what to say besides “don’t get caught”.

I’m holding off on a Red Sox “cheating blog” until the MLB report is finalized. So hold your breath a little longer.

But in the wake of all these reports and news, there was a source. Confirmed or unconfirmed reliable, this twitter account has been spot on with little tidbits revolving around Carlos Beltran. Now if you don’t know what’s up with Beltran it’s this simple. He was a player-coach for the Astros during their 2017 title run and was a special assistant to the Yankees last season. And if Cora allegedly brought his ways to Boston, then surely Beltran would do the same. Why else would the Yankees want him hanging around?

Welp, this whole mystery started to piece itself together right after the Cora resignment (not a firing). This video began to make some rounds.

That twitter account I just mentioned before? It got pretty active soon after the Cora London series video picked up steam. It’s now deactivated, but the account claimed to be Carlos’s niece and accurately leaked that he would be a manager to the Mets for the 2020 season. Well, last night it tweeted that rookie manager would be stepping down. Surely enough he did that exact thing today.

Okay, not too reassuring to trust a random account. But the block got super hot this afternoon.

When I first heard about “shoe-gate” I didn’t believe it for a second. But this kinda pushed me to jump on the conspiracy wagon. And then we get this.

This looks so bad, not just for baseball, but for Altuve and that entire Astros club. I’m talking lifetime bans bad. But this isn’t even the tip of the iceberg for what’s been going on. You’ll read in that thread that the Beltran’s are claiming this isn’t their niece. And now everyone is saying that this is a burner for someone in the league.

My best guess is Cora. I honest to god think Alex is the owner of this burner if that is in fact what the account is. It makes sense to go scorched earth on the guys who tossed you under the bus, but oh my good god is this escalating things.

These next few days, weeks, months are going to be a wild ride for the MLB.
