Conor, Conor, Conor

YIKES

I’ve written about Conor before. I retweeted it earlier for those of you who may have forgotten. I’d suggest reading that before continuing here.

“You just want clicks”

Well, that and it’s topical. Go give it a read. I’ll wait.

Are you done yet?

TOLD YA

After a lot of talking, a lot of saying how locked in he is, how he’s never been better, the whole Conor song and dance the last 5 years- he has once again lost.

I don’t know how many more ways I can say it. Conor’s words mean nothing. Everyone was walking around talking about how Conor says this and Conor says that. And what does he actually DO?

Get his shit rocked in the second round. Rinse, wash, repeat. And I’d like to go on record saying I’m not a Conor hater. In fact, there was even a time I would’ve called myself a Conor fan.

But I don’t like rooting for losers. And that’s what Conor is now. He’s 3-3 in his last 6 UFC fights. That’s not a single champ, let alone a champ champ. It’s honestly sad to see.

But how surprised can you really be? Looking back at Conor’s past fights he’s always been a striker. That’s it. People know that now and plan for it. If Conor doesn’t catch his opponent in the first 1.5 rounds of the fight, he is not winning that fight. Last night showed. Started strong going all out punching. And then his lack of defense training becomes clear. You see that he doesn’t give his ground game the attention it needs. Conor blatantly ignores every aspect of his game outside of punching and cardio. It’s the same old story and it’s looking like the beginning to a sad end for a once electric fighter. I will never diminish what Conor did in the peak of his career, but that’s not where he is anymore and it’s time people come to terms with that.
