Week 11 NFL Pick Em’ – Let’s Make a Trend

I finally did it. I had not just my first winning week since Week 1, but a 4-1 week which has not happened for me since Week 13 last season. As a group this was ABE’s best week (16-9) since that same Week 13 from last season. I went into last week taking some games that I did not feel comfortable with and it paid off pretty well for me, taking the Panthers who won outright and the Lions who almost won a game for the first time of the year. The Chiefs offense carried me to a winning week and ended with the 49ers defense protecting the MNF under for me to finish with four wins.

This week I followed a bit of a similar trend, not necessarily taking picks that I am not confident in but still feel like should hit. Let’s hope I can ride last week’s success into another great weekend of football. Without the Patriots on today, its a perfect day for RedZone.

Dan’s Picks (Last Week: 4-1 Season: 21-28-1) -a lot of units

Baltimore (-4.5) at Chicago

I am sorry to all my Bears fans who read these blogs, but I just do not feel confident in their football team right now. I also think Baltimore is due for a big bounce back after stumbling over the past few weeks. The Ravens will have a huge win in Chicago this afternoon, led by Lamar Jackson running all over Soldier Field.

Bengals (-1.5) at Las Vegas

This is one of those games that I do not really want to bet, but the Bengals’ line is speaking to me. The Las Vegas Raiders have not been able to continue their hot start to the season, looking pathetic in primetime against the Chiefs last week. The Bengals will continue to keep pace at the top of the AFC North and get a big road win this weekend.

Dallas (+2.5) at Kansas City

A potential Super Bowl preview, this game should be a back and forth battle with plenty of touchdowns on both sides and could comedown to a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter. The quarterback who gets the ball last will be the one to win this game, and I can only see the Cowboys getting that final drive. I know the Chiefs are finally getting their swagger back, but the Dallas defense will cause some troubles for Mahomes and company to lead the Cowboys to a huge road win.

Sunday Night: Pittsburgh at Los Angeles (A) u47.5

A not-so-pretty primetime game makes this under very appetizing. The Steelers offense continues to put up big number while the Chargers are struggling to stay atop in the AFC West. I am not confident in a winner for this game, but I feel really good about long drives leading to no points. This under should be an easy one for us to watch, hopefully I can get this game on my flight this evening.

Monday Night: New York (N) at Tampa Bay o49.5

After a tough loss last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be looking for a big bounce back on Monday night against the New York Football Giants. I do not think the Bucs will be able to cover the 10 point spread because of their questionable secondary, but they will win by outscoring the Giants which pushed me into taking the over for this game.
